Sera-cho is a highland town located in the middle of Hiroshima Prefecture with a large difference in temperature.
As a manor of Kishu Koyasan, a sacred place in Wakayama Prefecture, it has an old history that flourished since the Heian period. That Imakouyasan is celebrating its 1200th anniversary, you can feel the change of the season (Spring cherry blossoms, early summer blue autumn leaves and autumn leaves) in the center of Sera Town. Therefore, worshipers will not be uninterrupted throughout the year.
It is known as one of the best「agricultural treasures」in Hiroshima that produces high quality agricultural products such as Sera rice. Agricultural products that take advantage of the plateau's climate, such as Sera Minori beef, Sera Kogen pork, asparagus and sweet corn, are also highly evaluated in Hiroshima Prefecture.
Surrounded by glorious mountains and rolling hills, some of the largest flower gardens in Japan deliver spectacular scenery throughout each season. In spring, you can see the cherry blossoms, tulips, and a lush carpet of moss phlox called "Shibazakura" in Japanese. In early summer, roses and hydrangeas bloom and fill the air with a beautiful fragrance. You can view breathtaking flower landscapes with fields of sunflowers in summer, as well as cosmos, salvia, and dahlia in autumn.
As a tourist area that is relatively close to the coast of Setouchi, such as Onomichi and Fukuyama, it is crowded with day trip tourists. From Hiroshima City and Shikoku, it is a popular sightseeing spot as a driving course.
Depending on the season, you can enjoy walking among swathes of various types of flowers.
Here are some recommended farms.
The flowers that bloom in different seasons can be enjoyed many times.
Flowers make everyone happy.
We will give you a spectacle flower landscape for each season.

There is also a winter light-up event where you can attend the Sera Kogen Candle Night and be one with nature among the soothing flickering of candles.
In the Sera Plateau, with spectacular views of the sky and mountains, the entire hill is colored by a carpet of moss phlox and nemophila in the spring.
You can relish the scenery that changes with each season, with hydrangeas in the early summer and morning glory and marigold in the summer.
This is one of the largest rose gardens in Japan, specializing in English roses. The relatively cool climate of the Sera Plateau means that the English roses stay in bloom for a longer period of time.
Among the flowering period from late May to mid-July, June provides the most beautiful views. At this time, various perennial flowers perfectly complement the roses by adding a vivid splash of color. We hope you enjoy this unique arrangement of flowers that cannot be seen on the plains. In autumn, the roses are in bloom from late September until early November.
Indulge in a luxurious experience surrounded by the sweet scent of roses under the vast open sky.
This 30,000-square-meter area contains around 1,200 Japanese wisteria trees and around 7,500 lupine plants.
Upon reopening in 2021 after undergoing extensive renovation work, the park consists of 12 areas that each deliver the beauty of Japanese wisteria from different viewpoints.
We hope you can feel relaxed while strolling through the fragrant pathways.
The "Sera Burger Project" is an initiative to promote the culinary and agricultural industries of the Sera area.
To provide the best quality that Sera has to offer, we created burgers made mainly from ingredients sourced from the Sera area.
We hope you enjoy these tasty burgers.
